Constantly increasing pace, challenges within the work place and demanding social lives are amongst the key factors leading to chronic exhaustion, severe stress and underperformance. Burnout Syndrome has become a main stream topic due to extreme modifications in the way that we live. Symptoms are often misdiagnosed or not understood and – according to numerous studies and papers – conventional treatments have limitations.

The highly competent in-house medical team at the Health Retreat Parkhotel Igls has considerable experience in the diagnostic process of Burnout Syndrome. Detailed examinations and discussions with the medical personnel extend well beyond a suspected diagnosis to offer an integrated treatment programme with focus on the origins of the condition, rather than the symptoms. A recommended course of action, targeted at regaining the best possible health and wellbeing, is individually designed for, and in close cooperation with, each client. Modern Mayr Medicine treatments often begin with a calm-down period, light massages and mild outdoor exercise in our idyllic alpine environment. Regular rest periods are as important as a thorough detox programme and a well balanced, tailor made diet. Our locally sourced and delicious dishes are freshly prepared by our expert culinary team and lead the way to a new perception of food, a fundamental change in eating habits and a general lifestyle adjustment. The programme is complimented with physiotherapy sessions to assist a renewed equilibrium for body and mind.

For recreation the Parkhotel Igls offers a wide range of Spa & Beauty treatments, a huge pool with a hydrotherapy section, a selection of saunas, a state of the art gym with sweeping views over the Tyrolean Alps, indoor and outdoor exercise programmes and a large private park with a Kneipp foot-reflex course. All areas of the building offer a wonderful sense of light and space, which is complimented with peaceful and serene relaxation zones and reading corners. During the summer of 2009 the house underwent an €8 million refurbishment and extension programme and is now regarded to be at the forefront of Modern Mayr Medicine in Europe.
